Our Story
George and Rita Stanis opened Stanis Furniture in 1974. Working hard the business grew in the Merrifield area of Northern Virginia. Through the years they provided many loyal customers with well made furniture, incomparable customer service and affordable prices. In 1989 they opened the well known bargain store in Chantilly, VA called 2-Day Furniture. Now having two stores and a large following, George worked hard to run his business with integrity and well, just plain old hard work.
In 2005 George and Rita decided that they were ready to retire. Most owners would just turn over their stock to a liquidator to get out quick. But in true Stanis form, George wanted to sell his stock at the same great savings and service that the area came to know. This took some changes, some confusion and time but tomorrow has come and it is Today. Stanis Furniture is now under new ownership and the former Stanis and 2 Day Furniture are now called Stanis Today! My name is Beth and I have taken over the ownership. I was raised in this area and I started working at Stanis in 1983. I enjoyed those years of helping customers fulfilling their dreams of a beautiful home at affordable prices. Helping with great service and ease has always been my goal. I will keep on selling and servicing to the area in this manner. There are MANY items marked down at huge savings to make room for new items so come in and see us soon!
